Properties and applications of cu ni alloy
Ordinary white copper is generally a structural copper nickel alloy. In addition to its high corrosion resistance, it has good comprehensive mechanical properties at high and low temperatures, that is, it has good plasticity and toughness. It is generally used as a bar or strip. At the same time, adding some trace alloy elements such as Fe, Mn, Zn and Al on the basis of ordinary white copper can meet the special performance requirements of practical applications and better meet the industrial needs.
The most widely used iron white copper is BFe10-1-1 (C70600) and BFe30-1-1 (C71500). When the mass fraction of Ni is 30% and 10%, the passivation range of the alloy is wide and the corrosion resistance is the best. Moreover, this alloy also has super seawater erosion corrosion resistance, so it is called "ocean engineering alloy"
Copper nickel alloy copper 90/10 and copper nickel alloy copper 70/30 are used in seawater condenser system, seawater desalination plant and pipeline system of chemical plant due to their good seawater corrosion resistance.
